Today is the first day that I've worn the denim shirt I thrifted. I feel like this style of shirt goes with everything (well, everything casual anyway), but I couldn't think of how to wear it. This is what I came up with:
I never know what to do with my hair when it's in the "growing out stage", but I've learned from these pictures that I sure can't pull off the side-swept-hair look.

I got this skirt at Goodwill, but it seemed pretty new and it's a Target brand. I like how versatile it is, because I can wear it as a long skirt or as a strapless dress (which looks good with a bright colored belt at the waist).
I really love these boots too. They're the
Lorna boot in black, and they're on sale right now for only $9.78. Shiekh shoes is awesome because 1. they have shoes on sale for under $10, and 2. you can use coupon codes even on sale items. Right now you can use the code
Shoes10 for 10% off anything on the site.

I just bought a new foundation, because it's really not smart to use powder foundation when you have really dry skin and it's winter time. It's the Maybelline Fit Me foundation in the lightest shade, 110.
I guess I haven't worn liquid foundation in years, but are they all a bit shiny. I'm so not used to that, since I've been using a dull powder. But, I really like this foundation. It doesn't make my skin more flaky and dry, it is one of the cheapest drug store foundations, and it has an SPF of 18! Also, it's a bit yellow for my skin color, but it blends really really well into my natural tone. Has anyone else tried this? And can you tell a difference in my pictures if my face looks more, I don't know... "luminous"? haha.
woohoo~ cheers for thrift shopping! haha i love that song... and dont worry, soon enough you will be able to side sweep your hair! :D

The skull bracelet was like $1 :D
DeleteYour hair color and lipstick color go very well with your skin tone! I haven´t tried the Fit me! foundation but I use Fit me! concealor. I´m completely obsessed with a foundation I´ve used for years, so, I don´t usually even try others, heh.

Thanks! Hmm, I should try the concealer too.
DeleteI have shirt kind of like that, but it's not actual denim. It's a little too big on me and it doesn't look good buttoned up because it's too big. Maybe tying it like that with a dress would work for me! As for foundation I wear Revlon's colorstay foundation for oily skin, it can go on a bit heavy but I mix it with moisturizer and it ends up looking great and natural. Sometimes if my face looks too shiny after it I lightly put on some powder, but I generally don't need it.
ReplyDeleteThis shirt fits well, but I think the sleeves are too big. I'm not sure this one is actually denim either.
DeleteHmm, yeah, I've been using some powder over the liquid foundation to make it more matte.
Nice outfit, I like your hair swept to one side, looks good xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks :)

DeleteA) I've been searching for the perfect chambray shirt. We're on the same wavelengths yet again!
ReplyDeleteB) Your skin looks beautiful in these! But just as a warning I heard the FitMe foundation as been known to cause breakouts. I've never tried it but I thought I should tell you what I've heard!

Thanks. I haven't had a problem with break outs so far, but I think it's okay for people with dry skin (like me).
