Hi guys! Today I tried some nail appliques for the very first time. I had seen them before in stores, as well as in monthly favorites videos by beauty gurus on Youtube, but I had never tried them until now. Really, I haven't been even painting my nails very often until recently, but I might have to switch to nail appliques after trying the Incoco brand. I consider myself an artist, but I don't have time or patience to paint my nails with crazy designs very often. That's a great reason to try nail appliques, because they have a lot of designs that you just can't replicate with nail art. And it's so much quicker to do!
These are the applique kits that Incoco sent to me to try. There are too full color sets, and one french tip set.
First of all, I noticed that in each set, there were two samples or test strips. This was one of them, and it's my favorite one for sure! I will most likely purchase the full set of these, because they look like sparkly mermaid scales! These are called Rock Out! (glitter).
My favorite out of the full sets was the one called "Celebrate New Years: Cheers! (Glitter), so I tried them first. All of Incoco's nail polish appliques are 100% nail polish, and you can definitely smell the authenticity when you open the package! I love glitter polishes so much, but they are so difficult to remove. With the polish strip, I think it'll be much easier to remove than liquid polish. I'll let you guys know about the removal process and how long the appliques last later on. Anyway, the set of nail appliques comes with a nail file, polish remover, a cuticle stick, and samples.
Here is my first try at the Incoco applique manicure. Okay, so the edges are a bit rough, but it was my first time. I think once I start doing more of these, they'll begin to look better. All ten strips took a bit of time to apply, but there is no drying time. This is probably the number one thing I like about these, because I almost always smudge my nails after painting them with liquid polish. I just can't sit still and let them dry I guess.
So, overall, I really like the Incoco nail polish appliques, and I'll probably buy some of the glitter ones once I'm out of these. Once the black and gold ones come off, I'll show you what the french tips look like.

I love the glitter ones a lot!
DeleteLove the sparkle and shine to bring in New Year's! My sister did my nails with a Sally Hansen snake skin dry nail polish and it looked amazing but was so time consuming to get on.
ReplyDeletedry nail polish? Is that the same as the strips?
DeleteI've been very curious about these as well. It looks quite nice, I bet it does take some getting used to, but once you have the hang of it, it is pretty cool:)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I could use more practice to make them look better.
